HERMITAGE, Ark. — Hermitage School District has been named the Class 1A recipient of the Arkansas Activities Association’s 2025-26 Sportsmanship Award.

Superintendent LaDonna Spain announced the recognition Tuesday, congratulating Hermitage students, parents, coaches, staff and the district for receiving the honor.

“This award is voted on by each member school of its respective classifications,” Spain said.

Hermitage was one of six schools recognized statewide, with one winner selected in each AAA classification. Other recipients included Conway in Class 6A, Alma in Class 5A, Pottsville in Class 4A, Rose Bud in Class 3A and Southside Bee Branch in Class 2A.

The award recognizes the sportsmanship demonstrated by Hermitage’s athletes, supporters, coaches and school community throughout the 2025-26 school year.
