James “Jimmy” McCoy Jr., 54, of Monticello, passed away June 18, 2026. Born June 2, 1972, to James “Frank” McCoy Sr. and Janet McCoy.
Jimmy was a gifted artist and craftsman who believed that life was meant to be customized. Whether he was creating custom automotive graphics, airbrushing artwork, restoring vehicles, or helping others bring their visions to life, he left his mark on everything he touched.
Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Army and went on to hone his career skills across multiple sectors including corrections and enforcement, transportation and logistics, and asset protection. Throughout his life, he was known for his sense of humor, and bold sense of individuality. He also was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He appreciated adventure, freedom, and the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by his son, James “Frankie” McCoy III; stepdaughter, Auburney; bonus son, Deandre; parents, James “Frank” McCoy Sr., Janet McCoy; siblings, Tracy, Barry, Steven,
Byron, Karl, Sunshine, nieces and nephews, Valencia, Lyric, Jocelyn, Jayda, Zavion, Chynna, DeAndrea, DeAdrian, Brayden, Taylor, Teagan, Datron, Larue, Takarzja, Francisco; a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held July 25 at Wilmar Cemetery, Wilmar, AR. with Rev. Johnny Orr officiating. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
