Steven Glen Anders Sr., aged 75 of Warren, Arkansas, passed away at home in the loving arms of his family on Monday, February 9, 2026.
He was born on March 18, 1950, to the late Arthur Calvin Anders and Iris Janet Reynolds Anders. After graduating from Hermitage High School, where he was seen as “one heck of a basketball player,” he attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
He worked as an accountant and chief financial officer for various organizations over a 40-year career; however, he always remained a farmer and woodsman at heart. His many years cultivating tomatoes and other crops in the Jersey area were never overshadowed by his love for deer hunting, crappie fishing, and especially turkey hunting. Most recently, he could often be found sitting on the porch watching his garden grow.
Preceding him in death are a son, Steven Glen Anders Jr., and sister, Brenda Stroud.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Thomason Anders of Warren, AR; son Justin Anders and spouse Robyn Anders of Warren, AR; brother Andy Anders and spouse Melinda Anders of Warren, AR; brother-in-law Donnie Stroud of Crossett, AR; and three grandchildren, Alana, William, and Ian Anders of Warren, AR; and many nieces and nephews.
While his physical presence may no longer be with us, his infectious laughter, green thumb, and love for the outdoors will continue in the lives and memories of his family.
Graveside services will be held 10:00AM Thursday, February 12th, 2026 at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Neely officiating. Burial inOakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends after the graveside service at Oakland Cemetery.
