MONTICELLO, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team returned to Union Bank Park on Tuesday evening, hosting Gulf South Conference member Mississippi College in its final scheduled midweek game of the 2026 season. The Weevils delivered an offensive surge to secure a 10-3 victory over the Choctaws.

Scoring Recap:
Arkansas-Monticello got on the board first in the bottom of the second, as Kyle Tolley singled to left field to bring home Beau Kuttenkuler.
The Weevils tacked on two more in the fourth inning, beginning with a sacrifice bunt from Drew Floyd that plated Gabe Kuttenkuler. Later in the inning, Tolley struck again with an RBI triple down the left field line, extending the lead to 3-0.
Mississippi College responded in the fifth inning, pushing across two runs to cut the deficit to one. A groundout brought in the first run before a UAM throwing error allowed another to score, making it a 3-2 ballgame.
UAM answered immediately in the bottom half of the inning, seeing the rally started by a solo home run from Darcy Barry. Eli Marvin followed with a three-run blast to right center, capping off a four-run frame and stretching the lead to 7-2.
The Choctaws added a run in the sixth on a wild pitch, but the Weevils continued their power display as Marvin launched his second home run of the night, a two-run shot that pushed the lead to 9-3.
Arkansas-Monticello added its final run in the eighth inning, as Marvin recorded a sacrifice fly to score Daniel Lizarraga, bringing the game to its final score of 10-3.
Pitching Performances:
– Tyler Vincent got the start for the Weevils, tossing 4.2 innings while allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits. He added one strikeout in the outing.
– Dawson Morrill entered in relief, allowing one run on one hit across 1.1 innings of work.
– Mason Lemons provided a scoreless inning, giving up just one hit.
– Joshua Tribe closed out the game with a dominant two-inning performance, allowing two hits while striking out four batters.

The men in green and white will conclude the 2026 regular season this Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, at home in Monticello, taking on the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas University. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This weekend also marks Senior Weekend, where the Weevils and UAM Athletics will honor our 11 seniors on the squad.
