Daniel Wayne Thompson, age 81 of Warren, AR died Sunday, July 19th, 2026 at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. Dan was born June 26th, 1945 in Warren, AR a son of the late Keith Thompson and Bernice Beard Thompson. Dan was a retired Southwestern Bell Telephone repairman with 36 years of service and a Baptist. Dan served in the United States Army for 6 years and the Arkansas National Guard. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Roger Thompson, Troy Thompson, and Ted Thompson; sisters Barbara Cline and Geraldine Stogsdill.
Surviving is his wife, Linda Gayle Johnson Thompson whom he married June 1st, 1991. A son Matt Thompson and spouse, Niran, Eskisehir, Turkey and a step son Tommy Ford and spouse Suzanne, Conway, AR. Daughter Alisa Thompson, Monticello, AR and a step daughter Tammie Marie McKinzie, Warren, AR. 7 grandchildren Joel Thompson, Nathan Thompson, Julia Thompson, Ariene Thompson, Joshua Ford, Hayley Ford and Grace Ford.
Funeral services were 2:00PM Friday, July 24th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial was in Adam Singer Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers were Tommy Ford, Matt Thompson, Joel Thompson, Mike Thompson, Joshua Ford and David Carter.
