Lorne “Kenny” Thompson age 73, of Flint Michigan formerly of New Edinburg, AR died Saturday, July 18th , 2026 in Flint, Michigan. He was born November 27th, 1952 in Paragould, AR a son of the late Cecil Thompson and Cora Bryson Thompson, Kenny was a logger and a truck driver and a member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church. He was also the widow of Janette Dyer Thompson who he married May 28th, 2012 and she passed away August 9th, 2020. Also preceding him in death are brothers, Billy Thompson, Lloyd Thompson, Joe Thompson, Charles Thompson and Forrest Thompson. Sisters Louise Fry, Betty Smith, Darlene Wilburn and Linda Walker.
Survivors include his daughters Amy Rodriguez and spouse Peter, Hot Springs, AR, Kim Emerson and spouse Mark, New Edinburg, AR and Penny Balogh, Lonoke, AR. Sons, David Pipes and spouse Quin, New Edinburg, AR and Sammy Pipes, Maumelle, AR. 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Special niece Vickie Jensen, Flint, Michigan and Kenny’s best friend Martin Ghent, Judsonia, AR.
