Bishop Vaughn Sr., 70, of Warren, passed away May 31, 2026. Born April 23, 1956, to the late Elder George and Ezel Broomfield Vaughn.
Bishop was a lifelong, dedicated craftsman in the timber and flooring industry. He spent decades working with his hands to build a life for his family. He began his career working in the local lumber mills, eventually spending many proud years with Potlatch Corporation. He later brought his expertise and hard work to the Robbins-Witt plant (later known as Armstrong Flooring), where he worked faithfully
until his disablement. He was also a proud brother of the Arkansas Prince Hall Masons. His work ethic, deep knowledge of the trade and camaraderie he shared with his brothers and fellow millworkers
left a lasting legacy.
Bishop’s journey was the day he opened his heart and truly accepted God into his life. Guided by his faith, he walked through life with love for the Lord and unwavering devotion to the people he cherished
most. He found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life, especially when surrounded by those he loved. He was a man of many passions, whether playing his guitar, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers,
and making furniture. Above all his greatest joy was his family. He treasured every opportunity to making lasting memories, whether they were gathering for large family functions, sharing laughs over a meal, or enjoying watching movies together.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Lulla Vaughn; sisters, Earline Franklin, Lorene Thomas, Corene Russell, Earnestine Allen; brothers, Cleother Vaughn, Clyde Vaughn, L.G. Vaughn,
Bobby Vaughn, Lenon Vaughn, George Lee Vaughn and Michael Jones.
He is survived by his children, Kylesha Lowe, Bishop Vaughn Jr., Robb Lowe; brothers, Charles Jones of Omaha, NE., Keith Jones of Monticello, AR., grandchildren, BreNyah Lowe, Ikem Lowe,
Bishop Vaughn III, JaKyriun Vaughn; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held June 13 at Holy Deliverance COGIC in Warren, AR. with Elder Terry Correll officiating and Rev. Larry Hines eulogist. Burial was in Bluff Springs Cemetery, Fordyce, AR.
