CROSSETT, Ark. (4/21/26) – The Warren High School baseball squad scored four runs in the top of the first inning and received six strong innings from Ren Reep in a crucial 5-1 victory over Crossett Tuesday evening at EC Crossett Field.

The win moves the Lumberjacks to 10-7 overall, but more importantly pushes Warren to 6-2 in league play. Crossett falls to 12-10 and 4-4 in 4A-8 action. Warren and Hamburg are tied atop the standings at 6-2 after Tuesday’s results. Monticello lost to Star City and is now 5-3, while the Bulldogs are 3-5 in league play.
Warren started the game off with a bang as Tucker McDiarmid was hit by a pitch before Reep and Jackson Denton followed with singles to load the bases. The Eagles recorded an out on a popup, but allowed three straight infield hits to give the Jacks a 3-0 advantage. Aceen Jurado singled home a fourth run with two outs and the visitors led 4-0.
The score remained 4-0 until Crossett registered a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the third to make the score 4-1. Reep walked the next batter, but followed with a strikeout to get out of the jam. Jude Cathey led off the top of the fifth with a double and courtesy runner Madden Bryant came around to score after an infield hit and error to put the Orange and Black back on top by four runs at 5-1.
Reep would only allow one baserunner the next two frames as the score remained 5-1 going into the final inning. Parker O’Neal entered the game and induced three groundouts to seal the victory for the Jacks.
Warren received a great pitching performance from the senior Reep as he threw six innings and allowed one run on three hits with four strikeouts against two walks. O’Neal tossed a clean inning in relief.
Cathey and Ty Hembree led the offensive effort with two hits each. O’Neal, Hembree, Logan Case, and Jurado drove in a run apiece
The Lumberjacks are scheduled to play conference foe Monticello in their next game on Friday, April 24. First pitch from the Warren City Complex is set for 5 p.m.
